Ok Falls Pinot Noir Cycle Tour
We depart from the Penticton waterfront at about 8:30 a.m. We cycle to Ok Falls along part of the former Ironman Route. Our first stop is at Meyer Family Vineyard. This family run winery only produces 3000 cases per year of high quality wine. Pinot Noir is one of their focuses creating award winning wines rated up to 92 points. Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir has aromas of berry fruits mixed with the darker fruits such as black cherries and plums. Reimer Family Pinot Noir is grown in south east Kelowna from French Pommard and Dijon clones – this is the premium award winning wine.
Next we stop at Liquidity Winery. Pinot Noir planted in 1994 has apparent black and red fruits with a hint of dried mushrooms and cocao. Notes of nuts, caramel and expresso along with a bit of spice. We will have lunch (client purchases own lunch) at the Bistro while enjoying the view!
Next we cycle to the Blue Mountain Vineyards. Enjoy the iconic view from this location. The Blue Mountain Pinot Noir is a dark garnet in colour with red and black fruit. Vanilla and toast complement cassis and black cherry flavors, and spicy velvety tannis to finish.
Next we cycle or get transported back to Penticton. Support van follows tour route and is available to pick you or your wine purchases up as needed . Non cyclist can join their cyclist friends and ride along in the van. We cycle from 0- 55 kilometres.
Other varietals may be tried if not tasting Pinot Noir.
